Two farmers hanged themselves to death: Bathinda. After the suicide of two farmers one day before, two more farmers allegedly committed suicide at Ubhawal and Mangwal villages of Sangrur (Bathinda District). The Police have started their investigation in both of the cases.Sources said at Ubhawal village, Hardev Singh hanged him with a tree in the morning. Some villagers informed his family about his suicide. Family members said that he was under stress because of debt of around Rs. 8 lakh from Bank and private money lender.
Incharge Nirmal Singh of Badrukhan police post said that, ‘Hardev Singh failed to pay the loan of bank and private money lender. Under this stress, he hanged himself. We are conducting further investigations’.Another incident happened at village Mangwal, where Harjinder Singh consumed pesticide last evening and admitted at a hospital where he died today. His neighbor told about his loan of around Rs. 4 lack which he failed to repay.SHO, Ranjit singh said: “His family members said that, by mistake he had taken some wrong medicine. We are probing the matter.”
