Chandigarh, April 7: The three MLAs, including leader of the Party in Punjab Assembly, Sukhpal Khaira, have become isolated in the State Unit for their revolt like stand. Once again, Khaira has repeated his stand for not going to High Command to discuss the state’s related issues. Sources in the Party told that rest 17 MLAs of AAP have disassociated themselves on the issue of autonomy to the State unit. But the uncertainty over the meeting has put the party in the state of disappointment and leaderless like situation.Sources in the party told that to divert the controversy to ruling Congress or Akali Dal, the Party is preparing a strategy, specifically on drug issue. To divert the attention, the Party can demand to hand over the probe of drug issues to the CBI against Khaira as he has himself demanded earlier, but along with Congress and Akali leaders. Sources told that party is seeking two or three more MLAs to add in first line of its state leadership to avoid any challenge. Party High Command is seeking feedback from some leaders and MLAs to tackle the untoward situation, which had occurred on March 23 on the issue of, apologize by the Kejriwal from Akali Leader Bikram Singh Majitha.
Sources in the party told that the party has not accepted the resignation of State President Bhagwant Mann and Vice-President Aman Arora as the decision would be taken in the meeting, which is still waiting the date to be confirmed. At present the party activities in the state are being run by Dr Balbir Singh as co-president after the refusal of Bhagwant and Arora to withdraw their resignation. But in practical, majority of MLAs are not with its leader Sukhpal Khaira, while the decision of resignations of President and Co-president is in the state of pendulum. Although the party high command is avoiding creating any controversy to call a meeting of Punjab unit in Delhi, but such lethargic approach has put the AAP in dilemma.
