Jalandhar: Sounding the bugle for assembly elections in Punjab, BJP National President Amit Shah said that victory of BJP-SAD alliance in the forthcoming elections of Punjab Vidhan Sabha is a must for the peace and prosperity of the state and added that the alliance in Punjab is not an ordinary coalition, but it is a symbol of secularism. He said that this coalition has ushered record progress in the state whereby Punjab has emerged as a frontrunner state in the country.
Terming Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal a ‘pious’ Chief Minister, the national BJP President, during a state level booth workers Sammelan at Jalandhar here on Sunday, said that Badal has struggled throughout his life for the interests of Punjab and has devoted his life for the welfare of the state. He said that BJP-SAD alliance would contest the election in Punjab under his leadership and form a government for record third time.
Exhorting the party cadres to gear up for the upcoming Punjab assembly polls to help register a thumping victory for the third consecutive time, Shah said that ensuring victory in Punjab elections is synonymous to strengthening NDA at national level. He called upon the workers to work whole-heartedly for the success of the alliance and conveyed that each vote in favour of alliance will go long way in paving way for the spread of NDA
