After facing several difficulities , Amarnath Yatra enters in its last week. The Yatra started on July 2 and will end on August 18 coinciding with Shravan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan festivals. The fresh batch of 139 yatris left bhagwati yatri niwas in Jammu on thursday.
The number of pilgrims has steadily decreased ever since the cycle of violence started in the valley on 9th july in which Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani was killed in a gunfight. Now, with the high security law and order situation in the Valley, the Amarnath Yatra has been proceeding smoothly.
