Sikh Organization stage protest against Bargari killings. A protest demonstration was on Sunday staged by a Sikh Organization today regarding the second death anniversary of two Sikh protesters in police firing at Behbal Kalan village in Faridkot district. During the protest against Bargari sacrilege, Gurjit Singh (25) and Krishan Bhagwan Singh were shot dead by the authorities on October 14, 2015.They alleged that two probe commissions, the CBI and the state police had all failed to nail the culprits. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had held SAD leader Parkash Singh Badal responsible for the killings which had led to protests across the state, alleged Sikh leaders, including “parallel” Jathedars Dhian Singh Mand, Baljit Singh Daduwal and Amrik Singh Ajnala.According to the Sikh leaders this is clear case of conspiracy. “We have lost all hope of justice from the state government as SAD and Congress leaders have a tacit understanding to shield each other,” they claimed. Captain Amarinder Singh and Daduwal had promised that sacrilege accused would be put behind bars within 40 days of their party coming to power but no action had been taken so far.
