Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 548th birth anniversary: Over 2,600 Sikh pilgrims arrived at the Wagah Railway station on Friday through special trains to celebrate the 548th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.The Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Mohammad Farooq, welcoming the Sikh Pilgrims from India and other countries, said that the arrangements for the celebrations have been finalized by ETPB. The board would provide foolproof security, transport, accommodation and other basic facilities to the Sikh pilgrims.
He said that Pakistan wanted to improvement in relations with its neighboring countries. Speaking on the occasion, group leader Gurmeet Singh said Sikh pilgrims felt happiness in Pakistan and they have come here with the message of love, peace, friendship and harmony.“Pakistan is the land of Sikh Gurus and Sikhs love this land.” Soon after the arrival, the Sikh pilgrims left for Janam Asthan of Guru Nanak Sahib at Nankana Sahib.
