LAHORE: Caretaker Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq and Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs Khalid Masood Chaudhry have said all minorities enjoy equal right in Pakistan. Addressing a ceremony, held in connection with anniversary of Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh at Gurdwara Dera Sahib, here on Friday, they said that the Sikh community enjoyed complete rights like all other communities in Pakistan. ETPB Chairman Tahir Ehsan, Secretary Board Muhammad Tariq Wazir, Deputy Secretary Imran Gondal, Sikh leader Prof Kalyan Singh and a large number of Sikh community members participated in the ceremony.The secretary said that history would always remember social and welfare services of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh. He urged the Sikh guests to discuss Pakistan’s hospitality in their homeland for improvement in mutual relationship between the two countries and for peace and prosperity in the religion. He said that the ETPB was providing services and hospitality in a better way to the Sikh yatrees.Party leader Sardar Bilvandar Singh said Pakistan and India relationship would be improved if friendship between Sikhs and Muslims was strengthened. At the end, special gifts were distributed among Sikh leaders and guests from India. They offered special prayers for development, prosperity of Pakistan and better relations between the two neighbouring countries.
