“My one mission is complete and now my second mission is to free the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) from politics. Unfortunately, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) uses the SGPC for vote bank. I will unite the groups from the society who actually want to serve the SGPC and they will be given power to take its decisions,” H S Phoolka, who had recently resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said.
He was in city on Monday and shared his new “mission” with the media persons. He said, it is compulsory to eliminate the politicisation of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC). He cleared, this is my only motive and I am neither going to join the BJP in coming years nor will contest the Lok Sabha elections.

He blamed the SAD to misuse the principals of miri-piri. They used religion to glorify their politics, Phoolka added. He held the SAD responsible for sacrilege and firing incidents and condemned the SGPC approval to Akal Takht’s “Gurmata” pardoning Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim. He said it was politically motivated decision and leaders of the SGPC only think about how to make political leaders happy instead of God. Akali leaders are creating barrier for the good people who want to come forward to serve the Sikh body in true spirit. Our motive is to bring them forward. We will raise the issues relating to the SGPC with the government and the Election Commission.
