After a long struggle Sikhs got an amendment made in Anand Marriage Act 1909 for making a provision to get their marriages registered. Though the central govt made the amendment in 2012, Chandigarh Administration has till date not formed rules so that Sikhs who have married by undergoing marriage through Anand Karaj religious ceremonies can get their marriage registered under the act, Navkiran Singh Advocate. Today they have moved the honorable high court for non action of Chandigarh Administration. The case is listed before J Rakesh Jain at No 129.
