India vs Sri Lanka Kohli, Sharma scores ton as India posts mammoth 375/5 . Indian cricket team is known for their exploits in batting. Well, once again the Indian batting showed what it’s capable of. Losing Dhawan early, team India did not look back as skipper Kohli came to crease and gave a brisk start. Despite losing an early wicket, Kohli started smashing Sri Lankan bowlers. He was then joined by opener Rohit Sharma. The sheer striking by both the batsmen made the Lankan bowlers look clueless. Both of them notched up a century, with Kohli top scoring 131 off 97 balls including 17 Fours and 2 sixes while Sharma scored 104 off 88 balls including 11 Fours and 3 sixes. After the dismissal of Kohli, India suffered a triple blow as Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Lokesh Rahul got out in short period of time.However, both Manish Pandey and MS Dhoni took charge, added 101 runs to the total and took India to a huge total of 375/5 in 50 overs. Manish scored a fifty, while Dhoni felt a run short of it. Angelo Matthews, though, seemed to be the only effective bowler in the Sri Lankan attack as he scalped two for 24 runs in 6 overs. Sri Lanka has now to chase 376 at the run rate of 7.52.
