Panchkula: Paradise Cricket Academy, Dhakoli (Punjab) defeated Narinder Walia Cricket Academy, Panchkula by 26 runs to lift the third Kaushalya Devi Memorial under-13 Inter Academy League Cricket Tournament being held at Cricket Ground, Hansraj Schhol, Panchkula on Sunday.
Batting first Pradise Cricket Academy posted 139 runs on the scoreboard at the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 25 overs.
Their innings revolved around the stroke play of Rohit Rana who scored 54 runs. Yogesh Kumar contributed 43 runs in the total. In end Anmol Kaushik chipped in with 22 runs. For the bowling side Arshpreet Singh with three wickets for 12 runs and Pratham Sodhi with figures of three wickets for 44 runs were the most successful bowlers.
Chasing the target, Narinder Walia Cricket Academy never looked in pursuit. They were bundled out for 106 runs in 23.1 overs. Rudra Sethi with 28 runs were the highest scorer for the team. For bowling side Anubhav Kaushik claimed 3 wickets for 19 runs. Kushagar and Yogesh Kumar took two wickets each.
Vijay Arora, Chairman and Amarjit Kumar, Secretary General of Cricket Federation of Haryana gave away the prizes to winning teams on the Occasion Anil Arya, Paras of Hansraj Cricket Academy was declared best batsman of the tournament. Anubhav Kaushik of Paradise Cricket Academy was adjudged best bowler while Pratham Sodhi of Narinder Walia Cricket Academy walkd away with best all-rounder of the tournament.
In final match Yogesh kumar of Paradise Cricket Academy, Dhakoli was declared Man of the match Award.
