New Delhi: State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) on Tuesday introduced data sharing special tariff vouchers (STVs) in the south zone and will soon implement it on a pan-India basis for pre-paid mobile subscribers and said that 11 data sharing packages are available under this scheme.
The STVs allow sharing of data among a group of pre-paid subscribers, the company said, adding that a pre-paid BSNL customer can subscribe to this data pack and share it with other four pre-paid subscribers.
RK Mittal, Director, BSNL board, said that BSNL is providing community data sharing STVs for all segments of society as per their requirement. Subscribing to community data pack scheme and adding of accounts – up to four numbers can be done through the BSNL Web portal, the company said. No charges will be levied for availing this facility, it added. The scheme has been introduced under the Digital India concept. With this, more and more people of India will be provided with the internet connections. According to this data scheme launched by the telecom company, a person can use 20 GB data in only 50 rupees.
