Bangluru: The New Kabaddi Federation, in an effort to take Kabaddi on to the world platform, will start its three-week Indo International Premier Kabaddi League in May 2019.
Dr MV Prasad Babu, general secretary, New Kabaddi Federation, said the first session of the IIPKL will start from May 13 to June 4 2019, across three venues namely Pune, Mysore and Bengaluru.
He said a total of 44 games will be played in the season in which eight teams and 160 kabaddi players have been chosen from across the country, including 16 foreign players. All players to get a share of 20% of revenue generated besides assured contracted amount and prize money.
IIPKL's Broadcast partner is D sports (A Channel of Discovery Communications) and League will be broadcast in several languages across networks including Viacom 18 Channels, DD Sports and MTv.
