Khanna: Five armed-men in a Maruti swift car looted Rs 25 lakh leaving behind two persons injured at the Cattle Market (Pashu Mandi) in Khanna, late night on Wednesday. It has been reported that the accused had opened around 15 bullets while committing the crime and managed to flee from the spot with looted amount. The injured victims have been identified as contractor Harbhajan Singh and his son Surinder Singh, duo sustained bullet injuries. Following the incident the both the victims were rushed to hospital. The incident had taken place at around 9 pm when the market was about to get closed, 4-5 armed-men in their car bearing Chandigarh registration number robbed the collection money of the injured as they were sitting at the entry point of the market. The miscreants opened fire when Harbhajan resisted resulted duo sustained bullet injuries. Soon after receiving the information, Khanna police reached at the spot and initiated the investigation.
