Apple cuts prices for 32GB, 128GB iPod touch models. Apple has recently said that the iPod Nano and Shuffle is discontinued. In this, the company has taken a big announcement on the iPod touch. Apple has closed 16 GB and 64 GB iPod touch.
Both devices were launched in 2005, four years after the original iPod. Apple sold 54.8m iPods at the peak of their popularity in 2008, but sales dropped to just 14.3m in 2014 before the company stopped reporting numbers. The iPod Nano was released later that year and ultimately went through seven generations, adding a touch screen in models from 2007 onwards.
The iconic Shuffle could not be used to select songs. Users had to scroll randomly through playlists they had added. Now iPod 32GB and 128GB models will available in the market. However, the device is much better on the basis of sales. The original iPod Shuffle launched in 2015 with just 512MB or 1GB of data and looked more like a USB stick than later models, which were square. It could hold just 240 songs.
The iPod Touch, which was originally released in 2007, remains on sale but has not had a significant update since 2015. Apple has reduced the prices of 32GB and 128GB iPod touch models. The price of iPod Touch 32GB is $50.
Before its price was $199, whereas, the price of 128GB version has been reduced from $399 to $299. iPod touch is available in Silver, Space Gray, Pink, Blue and Red color variants. Earlier, the company had said that it should close the iPod Shuffle.
Also the iPod Nano was discontinued by the company. This company has two music players. This is being done because it was not able to play the song from Apple Music. Also could not connect to the Internet. In such scenario, it has been substantially outdated according to the current situation. The company has upgraded its upgraded variants.
