According to a recent study, obese older woman who was recommend to take three dose of Vit D daily showed improvement in her memory and learning ability.
The result of study is published in ‘Journals of Gerontology:Series A’ They made a experiment to collect evidence for the report.They made three group of women between 50 to 70 older age.
1 group recommended to take 600 International Unit(IU) that is 15 microgram every day for a year. Another group recommended 2000 IU for the same time period and the last one or 3 group recommended 4000 IU for same.
Result for the first group was microscopic.The 2 group was filled with a new result . The memory and learning ability of this group was improved. Result for the third group was also hidden.Senior Study Author Shapses concluded that more amount of Vit D may not be a problem for younger age but it may have negative outcome such as potentially increasing risk of falling and fracture in older.
Vit D is helpful for Cognitive impairment and Dementia problems,said Shapse. Research says one out of four adult 65 and older fall, according to US Center of Diseases control and Prevention.The annual US toll includes 29 million fall, 3 million emergency department visit, 800,000 hospitalization and 28,000 deaths falling also leads to more than uSD 31 billion in annual Medicare caste and the cast will surge unless the problem is recognised and prevention is stressed.
