ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਆਵਹੁ ਸਜਣਾ ਹਉ ਦੇਖਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਘਰਿ ਆਪਨੜੈ ਖੜੀ ਤਕਾ ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਘਨੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਘਨੇਰਾ ਸੁਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ॥ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਈ ਨਿਹਕੇਵਲ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸਾ ॥ ਸਗਲੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਤੂ ਸੋਈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਭਾਇ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਜਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਸਾਚਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ॥੧॥

ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ। (ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ!) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਾਵਧਾਨਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬੜਾ ਹੀ ਚਾਉ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਹੋਵੇ)। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ) ਸੁਣ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਲਈ) ਬੜਾ ਹੀ ਚਾਉ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ-ਆਤਮਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ (ਦੀ ਖਿੱਚ) ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੱਜਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਆ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।
