Mohali: The total number of chikungunya cases in SAS Nagar have reached to 120 with fresh nine cases reported on in Mohali. On the other side dengue toll start decreasing as the weather is getting cooler now. On Friday only six new cases of dengue were reported. Total number of patients of dengue are 1934 now.
It is pertinent that this year figures of dengue patients reached at the peak in history. It is possible that within next few days this figure may cross 2000. Whereas in last year’s total number of cases were 544 only.
According to officials of civil hospital Mohali on total 16 samples were tested for Chikungunya and 10 samples were tested for dengue on Wednesday.
Civil surgeon Mohali Dr Ranjir kaur guru informed that as many as 1934 patients found positive for dengue. They are being treated in various hospitals of the district. Total number of death is six till date.
