Mohali: Three children of a daily worker were injured when their house collapsed at Lambya village on Monday morning. The children were sleeping inside the house when the house collapsed. The house belonged to daily labourer Kulwant Singh.
The injured children were admitted to the Civil Hospital, Phase 6, for treatment. Councillor Satvir Singh Dhanoa reached the spot to help the family and assess the damage.
Kulwant Singh alleged that no one from the administration helped him. He said he also visited the DC office to seek help in the treatment of his children, but no one helped him.
Councillor Dhanoa demanded that in such cases the administration should help the affected persons.
He added that on one side, the government was claiming to provide houses and financial help for the poor, on the other, the administration was not taking care of the family of Kulwant Singh. Deputy Commissioner D S Mangat could not be contacted.
