Tarn Taran : Vigilance bureau have arrested two ASIs for accepting the bribe of Rs 25,000, on Wednesday at Tarn Taran. The accused cops have been identified as Dara Singh and Salwinder Singh.
NRI Ranjit Singh complainant of the case said that both the accused cops have demanded the bribe to clear the police verification. He added that Uk ambassy sends police verification of the complainant and the accused demanded the bribe of Rs 1 lakh for clearence certificate. Singh said that after negotiating the deal was finalised at Rs 55,000 and decided to deliver within two instalments. Singh added that Rs 30,000 had already handed over to the accused and Wednesday was scheduled for the second instalment of Rs 25,000 at his native place village Dhun.
Meanwhile, Tasvir Singh father of complainant approached vigilance DSP Kawaldeep Kaur and following the complaint the vigilance team led a trap where duo cops caught red handed.
