Fatehgarh Sahib:Eyeing 2017 Punjab assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is making all efforts to woo traders. Aam Aadmi Party Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh on Wednesday met traders at Sirhind. During his visit, he launched a verbal tirade against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Congress. He alleged that SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Captain Amarinder Singh were playing a friendly match. “They know that AAP is coming to power in the state in 2017. So they are resorting to diversionary tactics to save their skin,” he said.
He claimed that AAP was the last hope of the public disillusioned with “anti-people policies” of other political parties. While criticising the Badal family, he praised the Shiromani Akali Dal saying it used to be a party of the ‘sachey-suchey’ (upright). He said persons responsible for sacrilege in various incidents in Punjab will get harshest punishment if Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Punjab.He targetted SAD government on unemployment and the issues of drug abuse. He said that lack of will on the part of SAD government to do any public welfare.
