Mohali: More than 200 students of Small Wonders School, Mohali, celebrated their annual sports day with great zeal and enthusiasm at their premises, wherein the students competed under various categories to register their position.
Such activities boost habit of sportsmanship among children, which need to be encouraged in them right from the beginning, said the principal.
The day started with a march past followed by students displaying their athletic prowess in the events derby race, colour run, stacking angels, proud balancers, obstacle race fun races, hurdle races, shuttle relays and skill based activities showcasing balance, coordination and physical strengthening .
Earlier during the day, students performed various colorful and aerobic drills followed by school anthem.
“Such endeavours give boost to the children and habit of sportsmanship, which we think needs to be inculcated in them right from the beginning”, stated Hardip Nama, Principal, Small Wonders School, Mohali.
Karanvir Sibia from NGO Nanhi Jaan was the chief guest for the occasion.
