Ludhiana: Taking a dig at the newly formed political front Awaaz-E- Puniab, Congress Member of Parliament from Ludhiana, Ravneet Singh Bittu has said that this is a party of rejected leaders.
Those leaders who were rejected by their own parties and not accepted by other political parties have formed a new party as a last option, said Bittu while predicting that this party will collapse in next few days.
Bittu said that in the Aam Aadmi Party, all the leaders were considering themselves as MLA and in Awaaz-E-Punjab all were seeing themselves as the chief minister.
Bittu suggested that before announcing the party formally all the founder leaders should match their horoscope.
Terming the move as “blunder” by Navjot Sidhu, Bittu said that all the founder leaders have their own interests and they will keep the interest of people aside.
With the new party on cards after the collapse of Aam Aadmi Party, the people of Punjab will understand that Congress is a better option as new government and other political parties were only befooling the people, added Bittu.
Deputy Leader of Opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha and Congress MLA from Ludhiana West, Bharat Bhushan Ashu said that this newly formed party will accommodate the “rejected” leaders of all political parties.
He further said that in democracy everyone has the right to form political party or contest elections but the newly formed political party will not have any impact on the Congress party. Congress is committed to serve the people and have now affected these new political parties, added Ashu.
Meanwhile, former Vice president of Ludhiana Congress Maninderpal Singh Guliani said that Bains brothers always wanted to stay in limelight and this was their “new attempt” to grab headlines in the media.
Maninder wondered that how a leader like Navjot Sidhu was pulled in a trap of Bains brothers.
