Ludhiana: An awareness camp on new Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 was organised on Monday by the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), Regional Office-IV, Ludhiana, in coordination with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Ludhiana.
Er GS Gill, Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board intimated that Punjab Pollution Control Board from April onwards has been organizing awareness camp on New Bio Medical Waste Management Rules-2016 from time to time.
The awareness camp was organised at IMA House, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Ludhiana. During camp about 330 participants of various hospitals, nursing home, diagnostic labs attended the camp.
The health care facilities were guided to made necessary compliance of the New Bio Medical Waste Management Rules-2016 through presentation by Er Tejwant Singh Gill, Environmental Engineer, EPA Cell, Mohali.
Dr. Kulwant Singh, President, IMA thanked the participating doctors. He paid special thanks to the key Speaker Tejwant Singh Gill, Environmental Engineer.
