Rohtak: A bank manager on Wednesday died due to massive heart attack after working 72 hours in Rohtak Cooperative bank.
According to the information, despite suffering from the heart disease, the victim has been sleeping in office for last three days due to work overload.
The incident has come to fore, when a security guard reached the bank on Wednesday morning, he knocked at the manager’s office door but got no reply. He raised the alarm and informed the police, later the employees broke the door and witnessed the body lying inside.
Banks across India have struggled since Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were recalled last week as millions have poured in to exchange or deposit old currency. Banks have been asked to open early or close late to accommodate the large crowds, adding to the woes of bank staff.
The manager belonged to Gurugram and is survived by his wife and two children.
