Patiala: The Banur Police claimed to have busted a gang involved in the lifting of the two wheelers in a Operation by arresting four of its members and recovering of nine two-wheelers of different makes from their possession.
While giving details about the same Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Harwinder Singh Virk and the Superintendent of Police (Rajpura) told that since a long time the complaints regarding the lifting of various two wheelers were reported from Banur area especially the Gian Sagar Hospital situated at the village Ramnagar on Rajpura-Chandigarh Highway and various cases has been registered. They said that on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gurmeet Singh Chohan clear cut instructions were issued to the Banur Police Station to take action against these lifter’s.
They said that while following the Instructions the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Banur Police Station, Inspector Bhagwant Singh conducted an operation and arrested four persons involved in these activities and these were identified as Prem Singh, resident of the village Amlala under Dera Bassi Police Station, Gurwinder Singh alias Gurpreet Singh Saini, resident of the village Pandwala, Dilpreet Singh alias Guddu, resident of the Chamiala and Pardeep Kumar, resident of the village Saidpur.
The Police said that a FIR No 110 under Sections 379, 473 and 201 of the IPC has been registered against these four at the Banur Police Station. The Police also claimed that though these accused have confessed their involvement in some other crimes as well but still the interrogation cum Investigation of the crime was on.DP
