Jalandhar:On his visit to Punjab, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would be visiting village Seehewal in Jalandhar and Sultanpur Lodhi in Kapurthala to see the functioning of water treatment models launched by environmentalist Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal.
Recently, Baba Seechewal has met Nitish Kumar on his special visit to Bihar for spearheading the campaign to clean polluted rivers. The environmentalist has extended an invitation to Nitish Kumar to visit both Seechewal and Sultanpur Lodhi.
He would also visit the pious Kali Bein, which was an example of sorts of how single handed efforts of Baba Seechewal saved the rivulet. The Bihar CM would also historic Gurdwara Ber Sahib in Sultanpur Lodhi and the local railway station, which was upgraded with basic facilities by Baba Seechewal.
Notably, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC) has invited Bihar CM to honour him for the successful 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh in Patna Sahib.
SGPC Chief Kirpal Singh Badungar has announced in Jalandhar that the SGPC has decided to honour Nitish Kumar and some Bihar Government officials for the elaborate arrangements in Patna Sahib. Sikhs across the globe had been lauding Nitish Kumar for the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh.
It is pertinent to mention here that Baba Seechewal was leading the Ganga Rejuvenation Project, which was a dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now, different state governments were inviting Baba Seechewal to initiate low cost and highly effective Seechewal Models to clean their polluted rivers.
Notably, former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam had also visited Kali Bein to see the cleaning of the pious rivulet. The former President of India used to laud Baba Seechewal’s efforts in cleaning the rivulet with his volunteers.
