Khanna: A married youth of nearby village Biza was murdered with sharp-edged weapons allegedly due to his illicit relations with a woman at Chawa village. The deceased has been identified as Ravinder Singh (35), a resident of Biza, near here. Samrala police have booked five persons, including a woman, in thi case. As per information, Ravinder Singh was allegedly having illicit relations with Manjinder Kaur of Chawa from last some time and the husband of the woman Gurdeep Singh and his family members were opposed to her relations.
On Thursday night, Ravinder Singh had some heated exchanges with Gurdeep and his family members. A minor scuffle also took place as Ravinder was not ready to go back. On Friday morning, Amarjeet Singh brother of Gurdeep Singh went to the workshop of Ravinder situated on Payal road Biza and took him to the house of Gurdeep Singh on a motorcycle for arriving at a compromise. When Amarjeet and Ravinder reached there then Gurdeep and his family members allegedly murdered Ravinder with sharp edged weapons. On receiving the information, the Samrala police reached on the spot.
According to the SHO Samrala, D P Singh the police on the statement of Sohan Singh, father of the deceased, have registered a case of murder against Gurdeep Singh, his wife Manjinder Kaur, and his brothers Amarjeet Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Manjit Singh under Sections 302,148 and 149 the IPC. SHO told that they were trying to arrest the accused.
