Ludhiana: The hospital and the police are indulging into blame-game over the Atharva’s injury report. The schoolboy had sustained critical injuries after he had fallen from the rooftop of the school premises under mysterious circumstances.
“The doctors of the hospital said that the injury report of Atharva Gupta is ready but the police authorities didn’t come to get it from them”, claimed Shanky Gupta, an uncle of the victim boy. But when asked by the investigation officer of the case, Balkar Singh, he claimed that the further proceedings regarding the matter will be based on the enquiry as they have no updates regarding injury report from the hospital.
The hospital authorities are not cooperating fully with us, as they are not guiding us properly regarding the matter, claimed the uncle of the victim. “The hospital authorities told us that the police authorities are not coming to receive the injury report but they have not yet informed the police about the report, which is ready, as claimed by police authorities”, he added.
Meanwhile, ADCP-3 Ratan Singh Brar claimed that the recorded statement of the victim will play an important role while taking any action against the accused persons. He also added that injury report is still pending due to which the investigation is still going on.
Atharva Gupta has already claimed that he did not jump from the school building, which is actually a turning point in the matter, as before his statement, everybody thought that he attempted suicide.
