Ludhiana: With the arrest of three persons, the police claimed to have cracked the blind murder case of a labourer on Saturday. The accused had murdered a labourer and injured his accomplice while snatching their mobile phone and cash at Kakowal road in Meharban area on November 26.
The Police revealed that the accused were drug addicts and to meet their needs they commit snatching. On November 26 also, the accused attempted snatching and stabbed their target with sharp edge weapon leaving him dead.The accused has been identified as Farman, Asgar, Mohammad Saleem.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bhupinder Singh said that accused were drug addicts and after taking the police remand they will scan the track records of accused.
DCP said that on November 26, Sunil and Mahesh were going on their bicycle at kakowal road and the accused stopped them. While snatching cash and mobile phone, the accused stabbed both the victims with sharp edged weapons. The accused had snatched five thousand cash and mobile phones from the victim.
Sunil Kumar died while Mahesh was seriously injured. The Meharban Police have registered case in this context and initiated investigation in the case.
