Ludhiana: Thirty-six hours after the three teenagers drowned in canal near Dehlon, the bodies of two victims were fished out from the canal on Monday. With the help of local divers the police are still on the job to trace the body of one missing youth. The bodies were recovered from the canal near village Narangwal. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Surinder Mohan said that the bodies of Jujhar and Vikas Kumar of Gill road were fished out and the divers were searching for the body of missing Surinder.
The bodies were handed over to relatives after the postmortem conducted at civil hospital, added ACP. On Saturday evening, three teenagers were drowned while taking dip in canal at village Jassowal near Dehlon. Surinder of Makkar Colony in Giaspura area, Juhar Singh and Vikas Kumar of Gill road have gone to village Jassowal to take dip in canal after they left the house for tuition. All the victims were of 17- 18 years of age group and students of Class X of Ramgarhia Senior Secondary School. The police have identified the victims after recovering clothes, motorcycle along the canal side. DP
