Chess tournament commences at Learnig Paths School

Mohali: The Learning Paths School Prise Money Chess Championship 2016, started on Saturday at the Learning Paths School School Sec 67, Mohali. The Championship is being organised by the Learning Paths School, Mohali and conducted by Chandigarh Chess Academy. A total of 175 players from different Schools of the Tri-City and neighboring states are participating in this Championship. There are 16 International Rated players participating in this championship. On the first day jaskeerat Singh and Aryandeep Singh Gill commanded the tournament. At the end of the day both of them had garnered three points each. They are being trialed by Soumijit Singh Gill, Karan Singh, Armaan Dharni, Levanshu Khullar and Kakara Aaryman respectively. The tournament was inaugurated by Robin Aggarwal, Director of the Learning Paths School, Mohali. He promised to hold many more Chess tournaments in the future. In the under-13 boys category the lead has been maintained by Ajay Kumar, Rohan Gupta, Krish Gupta, Agaaz Bansal, Vedant Joshi, Arjun Bhaskar and Jaspreet Singh, all with three points each. In under ten boys category Aaryan Goklaney, Goel Pratyaksh, Parmarth,Bhavesh Mahajan, Shurya Chopra, Aditya Malhotra and Bhavjeet Singh are leading with three points each.
