Jalandhar: Following the expulsion of AAP Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chottepur from the party, BSP Punjab president and former Rajya Sabha MP Avtar Singh Karimpuri on Saturday welcomed Chottepur into the BSP.Karimpuri said that Chottepur spilled the beans on Friday after an alleged sting operation by AAP Delhi leadership against him. “Chottepur has exposed that AAP national leadership in Delhi was an anti-Sikh force. Similarly, even Congress was an anti-Sikh party, which engineered the 1984 anti-Sikh riots while the SAD was using Panthic agenda to pursue its political ambitions in the state,” he stated. In a press note issued here, Karimpuri said that in such a situation, he along with his supporters was welcome to join the BSP. “BSP was the only party, which was based on the basic tenets of universal brotherhood, communal harmony and equality for all. Rather, BSP was a common man’s party,” he said.
