Ludhiana: Avtar Singh, president and Upkar Singh Ahuja, general secretary, CICU in a joint statement released on Friday said that CICU is organising one day Workshop on ‘Cost Effective Up-gradation of Electroplating Technology and Practices’ on October 1 at CICU Complex, Ludhiana.
They said a team of 6 scientists led by Dr Vijaymohanan K. Pillai, Director, Central Electroplating Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, Tamilnadu will conduct the aforesaid Workshop. Avtar Singh said since long CICU has been working for uplifting Punjab industry and has been organising programmes from time to time to make industry aware of the latest techniques and technology.
Upkar Singh revealed that now-a-days electroplating industry in Punjab is facing toughest challenge in terms of finishing as per demand of the customers and cost due to obsolete technique of electroplating being adopted. So, CICU is organising a workshop for the benefit of Punjab electroplating industry as up-gradation electroplating technology has been need of the hour. Making all round improvements in terms of cost, finishing, quality and productivity is of the utmost priority and this is possible only through up-gradation of electroplating technology.
He quoted that other members of team consists of Dr Mohan, Chief Scientist, Dr P. Veeramani, Chief Scientist, Dr GNK Ramesh Bapu, all Chief Scientists, Dr J. Mathiyarasu, Principal Scientist and Dr Sahilendra Kumar Jha, Scientist. This team of highly qualified and professional faculties will conduct the workshop and provide in depth information and the role, utility and benefits of up-gradation of electroplating technology in this era of international competition.
While summing up, he requested all electroplating units of Punjab to attend the workshop and take benefit from experts of electroplating technology.
