Ludhiana: Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has failed to provide possession to the allotted flat even after 32 years. Despite the plot which was allotted to Gurdeep Singh, GLADA failed to provide possession to him.
Gurdeep Singh who is suffering from this problem from past several years is running from pillar to post for getting his problem solved. But Singh has failed to take possession of his owned plot. The authorities concerned have failed to take required action.
Following the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court, a draw of lots was held in July 2015 for MIG Houses of Riot Victims. Then, the GLADA allotted dwelling unit number 147 MIG, Phase 1, Dugri, to Singh.
In February this year, a possession slip was issued to Gurdeep Singh by GLADA but he was never given possession of this flat.
Gurdeep claimed that he kept filing the complaints regarding the illegal possession taken by the GLADA employee Jaswinder Singh but authorities are not taking any action.
“An official Kulwant Singh had informed me that an employee Jaswinder Singh of GLADA is residing at the flat which was allotted to me. The authorities should take action to get the flat vacated. The flat should be handed over to me at the earliest”, he stated in the complaint.
Singh claimed that all the documents and procedures for filling the plot installments and other papers were done properly but still he is not getting his flat. After receiving my complaint, I was called at GLADA office. The officer concerned had assured me that the possession will be given in a week but no action was taken till date. I had also sent copy of complaint to Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab”, he said.
Kanwalpreet Kaur Brar, Chief Administrator of GLADA claimed that she will look into the matter and required action will be taken so that residents would not suffer from any problem.
