Ludhiana: The Congress party has geared up for the state-level conference at Chhapar conference to be held on held on September 16. The Congress leaders and workers of Dakha constituency held a series of meetings on Tuesday.
The Congress leaders of Dakha constituency under the leadership of PPCC general secretary Anand Sarup Singh Mohie are mobilising the party workers and held a public meetings at Village Virk.
Anand Sarup Singh Mohie said that party has a strong hold in this segment and party workers are highly motivated which will result in participation of huge crowds at Mela Chhapar. Addressing the gathering he said that Akali Government has done nothing for the development of the area in last 9 years and now in the last year they have woken to this problem and promising all-round development. He said that voters will not be fooled by this election plank.
Damanjit Singh Mohie, secretary attached to PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh who is aspiring to contest the forthcoming assembly elections from Dakha assembly constituency said that the huge numbers of members of the Congress party, including women, youth and students’ wing, will take part in the rally.
The public meeting at Virk village was organised by Darshan Singh, secretary, PPCC and was attended among others by by Buta Singh Johal (Janetpura), general secretary Jat Maha Sabha, Avtar Singh Billa, Chairman Labour Cell, Ludhiana, Sukhwinder Singh Barsal, Bhagwant Singh Dhaipai, Kulwinder Singh Billa, Daljit Singh Sawadi, Jasmel Singh Gureh, Amritpal Singh Sangatpura, Buta Singh Virk, Harminder Singh Virk, Gurmel Singh Virk, Najar Singh Virk and Jagtar Singh.
