A medical camp was organised at Men’s Club, CRPF Campus, Hallomajra on Sunday in which D S Bains, DIG (Adm) NW Sector; Preet Mohan Singh, Commandant 51 Bn; Vishal Khandwal, 2-I/C, 5th Signal Bn; Dr Gurjeet Kaur, 13 Bn; Dr Paramjeet Kaur, GC CRPF Pinjore and Dr Nikhil Garg, Dr Jitender Pal Kaur, Dr Manisha of JP Hospital Zirakpur, officers, sub-ordinate officers and jawans attended the function.
On this occasion, lectures were delivered on cancer and other various diseases by Orthopedic and Gynae doctors and intimated to adopt the precautionary measures and how to prevent from such type of dangerous diseases following which a free health check up was organised during this occasion.
Also, a team of staff from State Bank of India also introduced ‘Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna’ for the bright future of daughters whose main objective is to promote the welfare of the girl child, which is a Government of India Initiative, in which awareness provided on how bank accounts can be opened for girl child (maximum two) up to 10 years of age and maximum period up to which the deposits can be made is 14 years from the date of opening of the account with maturity of 21 years. Following this scheme, 80 CRPF personnel have opened the account under ‘Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna’.
