Jalandhar: Three awareness vans were deployed to educate the people about the various schemes started by Central Government for the benefit of farmers, women, youth and economically weaker sections. These vans were flagged off from DC Complex by Jalandhar DC K K Yadav on Tuesday morning.
DC Yadav told media persons that people at ground level will be made aware of the benefits provided to them through various schemes started by the Central Government.
“Three teams will cover different blocks in Jalandhar district. People will be directly contacted through the teams in these vans and they will have answer for every question raised regarding the schemes and benefits. Every team will have two communication vans with them,” said K K Yadav.
DC further stated that these teams will run a special campaign for three months and will cover 150 villages of the district during this campaign. “People will have full information regarding Make In India, Digital India, Atal Pension Scheme, Mudra Yojna and various other schemes through these teams,” explained DC. 12 districts in Punjab have been chosen for this campaign initiating from Jalandhar.
