Bathinda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences to be setup at a cost of Rs 926 crore on Bathinda-Dabwali Road on 25 November.
Reviewing the ongoing arrangements for Prime Minister’s visit, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori along with other senior officers of District Administration on Saturday visited the site, where foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences is to be laid. He took stock of arrangements to be made for general public besides stage, pandal, seating plan, parking and many more. The Deputy Commissioner also held a meeting with officers to assign duties for finalisation of stage p reparation, security arrangements, barricading, route plans, medical assistance, communication center, sanitation facilities, electricity supply, supply of potable water, reception for guests, availability of fire tenders, control room, refreshment. Giving details of the function Thori informed that Prime Minister is scheduled to lay foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences on coming Friday.
He passed on spot directions to the authorities for timely completion of adequate arrangements without any delay.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Dr Sneha Aggarwal, Sub Divisional Magistrate Bathinda Madam Sakshi Sawhney, Superintendent of Police Dr Nanak Singh, SDM Maur Latif Ahmad, SDM Rampura Phul Narinder Singh Dhaliwal and officers concerned of other departments were also present.
