Jalandhar: An elderly man died of heart attack while he was waiting in a bank queue to get cash from his account outside Bank of Baroda branch at the local Chick Chick house area on Tuesday morning.
Resham lal, a cloth vendor aged around 70 was standing in the queue along with his wife and waiting for his turn, when he suddenly fell. The bank staff has issued tokens to the people standing outside the bank.
Later, when Resham Lal fell unconscious, Bank Manager Sushant Mishra provided Rs 10,000 monetary help to the victim and rushed him to a private hospital. Later, he died in the hospital.
It was learnt that Resham Lal has mentioned the cash withdrawal sum as Rs 10,000 on his withdrawal slip but the bank staff informed that he has just Rs 276 in his account.
Resham Lal’s son who came from Dubai was about to get married to a Canada based girl but he died of heart attack.
