Ludhiana:There is no respite to the customers in the Banks and ATMs even after completion of 50 days which were asked by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi from the Public. Now, the city residents are getting panic and said that demonetisation has spoiled their New Year celebrations as they don’t have cash in their hands.
Moreover, on the last day of depositing the old currency, the Communist Party of India (CPI) has demanded from the government to inform the nation about money deposited in the banks. It was said that there are about 15 lakh crore of currency in denomination of Rs.1000 and Rs 500. Out of this, whatever money does not come back to the bank will be taken as black money. It is therefore important for country to know the utility of this whole exercise by releasing data of amount not deposited in the banks to know the black money unearthed.
The government should also give information after the investigation by a Judicial Officer as to how huge amount of money has been recovered in raids and how it went to such people when the banks were given very small amounts as compared to the amount being released to each bank before November 8, therefore it was not possible such scandal to occur at the level of the banks.
The data about the money given to the private and public sector banks should also be released along with data of number of accounts in these banks respectively. Also, the number of jobs lost by the poor people. The loss to the agriculture should also be declared.
They further said that the government should also come out with how corruption has been controlled. How many acts of the terrorist violence have occurred since November 8. What steps have been taken to compensate the families of those who died standing in queues should also be made known to the nation.
What is important is to know as to how much investment has been made after November 6 and what is status of FDI coming to India after demonetisation. It is only from this information from government that truth will come out.
