Ludhiana : Another dengue death of 13 years old here on friday. The relatives of the deceased Gauri Bhanot, a resident of Krishna Nagar, civil lines said that doctors said that the death has taken place due to dengue shock syndrome however the authorities of district health department claimed that they have no information about the same.
Uncle of the deceased Avneet Punni said that that few days back she was having fever and felt unconscious following which she was admitted to hospital. Doctors said it was dengue shock syndrome and at one time they were also not able to find pulse.
After spending two days at a private hospital in Model town area during which the doctors also did dialysis, the doctors referred the case and they decided to take her to Medanta hospital, Delhi. While they were on their way the child was declared dead near Ambala.
Meanwhile the authorities at the district health department said that they are not aware of the death. District Epidemiologist Dr Ramesh Kumar said that the department has no such information.
Further he said that if such incident has happened they will ask for the information from the respective hospital and then the case will be forwarded to the review committee and then only they can confirm that whether it is dengue death or not.
