Ludhiana: Scuffle between patients and doctors held at civil hospital here on Saturday afternoon. 48 years old Bhupinder Singh has allegedly manhandled the doctor which lead the doctors and staff of civil hospital on strike.
Drama started on Friday evening when patient came to get admitted at civil hospital as he was having severe back pain. Patient alleged that doctors showed their reluctance to admit him but after arguing with them, doctors admitted the patient on Friday evening.
However, patient met with an accident on Pakhowal road though, he went to civil hospital for treatment. However, doctors have shows their reluctance after admitting at hospital and did not care. He alleged that many injections and pain killers were given which lead to acidity.
However, patient claimed that doctors were having rude behavior and also were not taking proper care, when patient asked the doctor that are patients treated in civil hospital in this way then doctors shows their reluctance.
After the incident, the doctors reportedly went onto strike as they alleged that patient had “manhandled” the doctors and staff.
Concerned police station has registered the case against Bhupinder Singh resident of South City under section 186, 294 and 323 of IPC.
However, Dr. Rajeev Bhalla claimed that he has requested the doctors to maintain peace and do not go on strike and asked the police will verify the matter properly and will do the needful.
