Mohali: First dengue death was on Tuesday reported from Mohali in September. Ram Lal, a resident of Phase-5, Mohali. He was suffering from fever for the last 4-5 days. He was admitted to Max Hospital Phase-6 on Monday. According to reports his platelets count came down to only 15,000.
Ram lal was working in the electricity department. A month ago he was transferred to Dahkoli near Zirkpur from Mohali. Civil Surgeon Mohali Ranjit Guru has confirmed the cause of death. The Civil Surgeon said Ram Lal died of dengue. She stated that Mohali has recorded 125 cases of dengue; but most of them are getting better now.
“There are 30 cases registered in last 4-5 days. They are getting proper treatment, ” she added.
