Ferozepur: There is a chaos like situation among new appointees all over the Punjab. The reason is unnecessary delay of the issuance of medical certificates which are most urgent and mandatory to be produced before joining the service in concerned departments.
However, administration and the officials of Health Department have no idea to cope with such situation. The scenario has popped up as PSMSU employees all over the Punjab are on strike till November 25.
It is pertinent to mention here that Education Department has issued appointment letters to ETT teachers and has issued instructions to join services within a stipulated time frame.
On the other side Punjab State Subordinate Services Board has also issued appointment letters for the posts of the clerks in the different departments.
As employees of ministerial staff in the Punjab are already on strike with clerical work getting affected and thus no Civil Surgeon in the state can issue medical fitness certificate on their own behalf.
Newly appointed ETT teachers met DC Ferozepur as well as civil surgeon, but could not get any solution due to which they agitated against administration.
When contacted the Civil Surgeon Ferozepur Dr Jai Singh told Daily Correspondent that all the civil surgeons in Punjab had requested Punjab President of PSMSU to relax their agitation and help the new appointees to get their medical certificates so that they could join their services, but the state leadership of PSMSU has not responded.
