Ludhiana: The condition of RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja is continued to be critical even after three days after the murderous attack on him in Jalandhar. On Tuesday a team of two doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) visited Hero Heart DMC Institute, Ludhiana and examined Gagneja.
Gagneja is on ventilator from last three days and the doctors attending him stated that he is still critical.
According to information, Dr Subodh Kumar, a surgeon and Dr Kapil Dev Soni, Associate Professor, Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care, AIIMS examined Gagneja at DMC and sought medical reports from the DMC doctors. The doctors may decide to shift Gagneja at AIIMS Delhi for treatment.
On Monday, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal visited DMC to enquire about the health of Gagneja. Sources said that following the request of Punjab Government doctors from AIIMS visited DMC to examine Gagneja.
Chief Cardiologist and Head of Research at DMC Dr GS Wander confirmed that team of doctors from AIIMS examined Jagdish Gagneja for few hours and later went back.
Dr Wander said that the condition of Jagdish Gagneja is continued to be critical and there is no improvement in the health from last three days.
The doctors are battling to curtail the infection spreading in the body and later planning for a surgery.
The bullets that were fired on Gagneja have damaged his small as well as large intestine. As no surgery was performed till now the bullets were not removed from the body of Gagneja.
On Saturday, some unidentified persons had shot at Gagneja in Jalandhar.
