Ludhiana: Many of the city residents and the seva societies have performed Ganpati Visarjan with great zest and zeal. Durga Mata Mandir at Dugri phase 2 witnessed huge crowd of people during the Ganpati procession organised before the idol Visarjan.
The members of the temple and the other societies had good arrangement of stalls during the Ganpati procession which passed from different areas of Dugri. Thousands of devotees gathered to worship Lord Ganpati. Apart from the decorations special ‘Chappan Bhog in 101 Thallis’ was offered to the Ganpati Idol as a Bhog.
One of the commuters, Megha Vaid said, “After seeing so much of crowd during the procession, it really gives a feel of coming up and gathering for all the festivals. For worshipping Lord Ganesha people from every age were present. The arrangements were also very good.”
Kulbeer Kaur, another city resident from Janta Enclave who had welcomed Lord Ganesha said, “I had eco-friendly Ganesha idol and during the Visarjan I had submerged that idol in the bucket itself. We felt good by celebrating it in an eco-friendly way and want everyone who welcomes Ganesha should go for eco-friendly celebrations.”
