Mohali: Punjabi men and women are known around the world for their flamboyant personalities and talent. To showcase their singing talent and give them the much required platform, fame and stardom, PTC Punjabi started Voice of Punjab in the year 2010 and since then, there has been no looking back as the platform is recognised as the biggest Punjabi Singing Reality Show now.
VOICE OF PUNJAB-7 HAD INVITED ENTRIES FROM PUNJAB, UNITED KINGDOM AND CANADA AS WELL.
It was a grand finale of Voice of Punjab Season 7 held at Football Ground Mohali on February 11. Rana Ranbir hosted the grand finale. Manmohan Waris, Nachhatar Gill, Kanth Kaler, Nishawn Bhullar, Anmol Gagan Maan and various other popular artists performed at the event, mesmerising all attendees. The participants and the audience were more than excited to know the results of Voice of Punjab-7.
Voice of Punjab-7 invited entries from Punjab, Canada, UK and provided a unique platform to aspirants aged 18 to 25, to compete and show their mettle to the entire world. The shortlisted few were lucky enough to be mentored by the famous composer, producer, musician and artist Tejwant Kittu. The participants were judged, encouraged and guided by the much celebrated singers and composers Sachin Ahuja, Kanth Kaler, Gurmeet Singh and Master Saleem along with Malkith Singh. Tough elimination rounds narrowed down the competition from thousands of enterprising and talented participants to 6 finalists.
The six finalists who were able to impress judges by their meticulous singing in various genres were Rahul (Sangroor), Sakshi Ratti (Ludhiana), Amarjeet Singh (Ludhiana), Jasmeen Dhiman (Ludhiana), Himmat Singh (Likhampur) and Shabnam (Malerkotla). It was very difficult for judges to pick the winners from the finalist. The one who walked away with not only the title but also cash prize of Rs 1 lakh is Amarjeet Singh (Ludhiana). The second and third runner up title along with a cash prize of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 was awarded to Jasmeen Dhiman (Ludhiana) and Himmat Singh (Likhampur) respectively.
