Ludhiana: Residents of Guru Amardass Nagar would came on the roads to protest if the roads of their area would not be carpeted till November 14 as from a long time the roads of their area are in the pathetic condition.
Guru Amardass Nagar falls under ward number 59 of the city where the carpeting of roads was left in between by putting gravel from pass few months. It has made the life of area residents’ hell as they are facing difficulty in moving their vehicles due to it as tyres of their vehicles are bursting and getting damaged.
The city residents rue that roads of the area are in poor state of affairs from main road to the internal roads of the area. Area residents have put forward number of written and verbal complaints at the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana office but they have put a deaf ear to the complaints of the city residents and area councillor is doing nothing.
The main and internal roads of area are full of big potholes due to which people on two wheelers fell down and face injuries. The annoyed residents rue that if the roads of there area would not be carpeted till November 14 then they would do the gherao of their councillor Tanvir Singh Dhaliwal who has put a deaf ear and blind eye towards their area roads which they won’t tolerate any more.
The area residents rue that the roads of area are in the pathetic condition. The road construction work is pending from last 10 months.
The condition is so worst that nobody wishes to travel from this area. The area residents said that they pay the tax then why don’t the authorities carpet roads as it would be done from their own money only.
