Ludhiana: The Ludhiana Police commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh has proceeded on leave for one week.
In the absence of Aulakh, the Police headquarters has posted IG Jalandhar range Lok Nath Angra as the officiating CP instead of giving charge to the Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
Lok Nath Angra is likely to assume the additional charge on Wednesday morning.
The orders of transfer of charge came on Tuesday late evening. However, the reason for leave of top cop Jatinder Singh Aulakh was not revealed but sources said that he may join office back on Monday next week
